Tranmere Rovers Football Club was founded in 1884 and is located in Birkenhead, Wirral, England. They were originally known as Belmont Football Club however changed their name to Tranmere Rovers in 1885.
The clubs noticiable success has been reaching the play offs for promotion to the Premier League 3 times in a row under manager John King in the early 90’s. They also went on a number of cup runs under manager John Aldridge including the 2000 Football League Cup Final, FA Cup quater finals in 2000, 2001 and 2004.
Tranmere Rovers play in an all white kit with a blue trim and they have adopted these colours since 1962. Before this they played with a blue shirt and white shorts.
